Fast and Accurate Background Checks for Your Peace of Mind
Many professional licenses in Illinois require a background check that includes fingerprints, including licenses for doctors, nurses, private detectives, and security professionals.
Professions that require fingerprinting
- Medical doctors and chiropractors: Must pass a background check through the Illinois State Medical Board
- Licensed practical nurses and registered nurses: Must pass a background check through the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulations
- Private detectives, security professionals, and locksmiths: Must pass a background check through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations
How the process works
- You must submit your application to the appropriate agency
- You must schedule an appointment with a licensed fingerprint vendor
- You must submit to fingerprinting within 60 days of submitting your application
- The Illinois State Police and FBI will process your fingerprints
- The results will be sent to the appropriate agency
Tips
- You should keep a copy of your fingerprint receipt
- You can contact the Illinois State Police for an update if your requesting agency hasn't received a response

✔ DCFS Fingerprinting: The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) requires applicants for Child Care Licenses, Unlicensed Day Care, and Non-Licensed Child Care Contractor positions to use an approved fingerprint vendor for their agency.

✔ IDPH/Health Care Workers: The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requires Health Care Workers to use a fingerprint vendor approved by their agency.
Triple T Fingerprinting Services PLLC is not an approved vendor for IDPH Home Health Care Worker fingerprinting.
